a museum of contemporary art located in the city of Eupen in the German-speaking community of Belgium.<\/p><p>The museum has been housed in a former furniture warehouse since 1999. IKOB\u2019s programme of temporary exhibitions is dedicated to current trends in contemporary art with a focus on the art scenes of Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. The exhibitions are accompanied by guided tours, events, and educational activities.<\/p><p>From its inception in the early 1990s, IKOB has been committed to creating space for contemporary art in East Belgium. The artist and curator Francis Feidler worked toward this goal for years, seeing IKOB, originally named \u201cInternational Art Centre of East Belgium\u201d, as a center for cross-border exhibitions. Today, IKOB is firmly anchored in the Meuse\u2013Rhine Euroregion\u2019s art scene and is considered one of the leading museums for contemporary art in Belgium.
